Our boxes, or cases as they may be, are produced through an injection molding process where plastic material in granular form (Polystyrene PS) is injected into steel molds.
Polystyrene (PS) is one of the oldest types of plastics but is still widely used due to its cost-effectiveness and exceptional properties such as transparency. In fact, we often simplify by referring to the material we use for our box production as “crystal polystyrene,” emphasizing that our plastic boxes are as transparent as crystal.
Indeed, the plastic boxes we produce typically feature transparent lids so that the items inside can be easily seen and recognized, drawing immediate attention to the contents.
The bases of our boxes are typically produced in white or black, and optionally, though not for all models, in transparent form. Velia’s boxes are all highly rigid, characterized by brilliance and sharpness, and certified safe for food contact.

– Interior: Inside our boxes, they can be left empty or fitted with materials such as sponges, flocked sponges, smooth or flocked cardboard, thermoformed plastic, or special inserts.
