Die-cutting from rolls: Automated fabric cutting

The third-party automatic fabric cutting service we offer is undoubtedly the most appealing solution due to its high productivity ensured by the automatic machine that cuts fabrics loaded on rolls. These rolls are mounted on special supports, preparing the fabric by pulling it across the cutting area to be die-cut by the rotating mobile arm.

The fabric rolls must have a maximum height of 155 cm, with the cutting usable area being up to 150 cm maximum, and each roll can weigh a maximum of 40 kg.

Additionally, the diameter of the rolls must be considered, as the die-cutting machine can mount a variable number of rolls from 1 to 6. Managing the roll diameter prevents them from touching each other and their surfaces.

Depending on the material and the task at hand, it’s possible to cut fabric rolls with multiple layers overlapped, resulting in increased processing speed and reduced cost per piece cut.

Die-cutting in sheets

The material received in sheets can be processed using various machines depending on the type of material, sheet size, and the number of pieces to be produced.

Therefore, our options range from using the press, semi-automatic or automatic die-cutting machines, and finally the digital plotter cutter and laser:

Maximum cutting area of the press: 70×50 cm.
Maximum cutting area of the semi-automatic die-cutting machine: 250×150 cm.
Maximum cutting area of the automatic die-cutting machine: 250×150 cm.
Maximum cutting area of the digital plotter cutter: 250×160 cm.
Maximum cutting area of the laser: 90×60 cm.

The production of dies for fabrics can include various types depending on the process:

Flat die or American die: This tool consists of a steel strip with a sharp upper profile that replicates a specific shape and is used to cut the form.

Forged die: Made entirely of steel with thicker blades welded together to create a flat monoblock that can be easily handled. These dies are used in cutting fabrics, gaskets, leather, rubber, sponge, etc., applied manually or automatically with hydraulic presses.
